Ways to Increase Metabolism

  • EAT HEALTIHER AND SNACK HEALTHIER
  • EXERCISE REGULARLY
  • GET ENOUGH OF REST
  • DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

     

Metabolism is how our bodies process and break down cells in our systems to convert them into energy. As you know, the older we get, the more our body changes and many things begin to slow down. But we will discuss that in a later posting. My top ways for increasing metabolism are as follows:

  • EAT AND SNACK HEALTHIER

    Add more fruits and veggies to your diet, especially ones high in water content.

  • EXERCISE REGULARLY

    Even if it is nothing strenuous, like push-ups, pull-ups, or Pilates, exercise will play a major role in speeding up your metabolism. Walking, jogging, doing squats and even doing daily house work is better than sitting around doing nothing.

  • GET YOUR REST

    I say this to myself first. Setting a routine of going to bed at a designated time and rising at a set time is much healthier than sleeping at anytime, day or night. Getting rest allows our bodies time to rejuvenate and restore the system for the upcoming day.

  • DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

Water is a natural source of nutrients, amongst other things, that does more than hydrate our body. It regulates our body temperature, aids in healthier hair, skin, and nails, and helps to break-down and flush out fats (from by-products) in our systems.   • Aides in weight loss
  • Antibacterial source
  • Builds immune system
  • Has natural pectin
  • Can be used to make homemade products, such as all natural cleaner: lemon peels, vinegar and water. Equal parts. Let stand a week and place into spray bottle.
